Today is the last date of the first leg of the 'Within Temptation' run. We are in Rome Italy.Drove past the Coliseum coming in on the bus. Pretty amazing. Tonight I go to Da Vinci airport in Rome for the big filght home. I am looking forward to seeing my family and sleeping in a bed that isn't moving down the motorway at 60 miles an hour

Just finished the first two dates of the Within Temptation shows.The Within Temptation audiences have been fantastic. There are a lot more females in the crowd than there had been on the Maiden shows and they are responding to Lauren's music better than we could have hoped.
The Within Temptation band are fantastic. Very theatrical, very symphonic but still very heavy. All the players are great and the singer Sharon is phenomenal. I am really looking forwad to seeing all the shows on the rest of the tour.
So, tonight we play Lyon, France and then it's off to MIlan Italy.

We made history last night. Lauren was the first female fronted rock band to ever to play a show in India . And what a show it was. There were over 20 thousand sceaming people at the Bangalore Palace Grounds show site. The show was fantastic. It is still an awe inspiring thing to perform in front of that many people. You usually hear that you can only see the first couple of rows but Maiden's lighting is so extensive that when Rob the lighting director hits the house floods you can see all 20 thousand. Woah!!! We are back to London tomorrow. I have some good footage of India I can share so...another V-Blog perhaps??

The Athens show went really well. It was probably one of our best shows ever. Athens is spectacular looking. I have always wanted to go and it did not disappoint. I am editing together a V-Blog with some vids of the performance. I will post in a little while. Tonight it's off to Belgrade, Serbia.

We did our last show with The Answer last night. I want to thank both The Answer and crew for a fantastic four shows. You guys could not have been more cool. Also thanks to Winnebago Deal who were also on the bill.
Tomorrow it's off to Dubai. We are up at the crack of dawn to catch our flight out of Gatwick in London. I am really looking forward to seeing Dubai. Everyone says it is spectacular.
I also want to thank Bob from Ouch My Eye for doing all my website work. I am still trying to figure it all out. Thanks for everything brother. See you all in Dubai.

First couple of shows are done. We did Oxford and then Bristol and Manchester last night. Saw a lot of our friends from the Maiden shows. Thanks to Gallowsman and familiy for hanging in Bristol. Always great to see your smiling faces in the front row.Day off today in Manchester. We leave in the morning for a photo shoot and then the show in Nottingham.Hopeing to see some more of our people at that show. Steve "fancy dress" P.has promised to make an appearance.
