Just got to Mexico today. We did the LA forum onTuesday. Unfortunately, we had a little problem with Richie's visa and he had to fly directly to Mexico and had to miss the LA show. So, on comes Ken Hitman a fantastic local LA guy to play the show with us. Ken had only 48 hours to learn the entire set.... and he did. He performed flawlessly. Thanks Ken. And thanks to Mel Salvador for organizing everything for us. Mel really saved the day. Thanks Mel. Also, thanks to Steve Frangadakis who found Ken for us. Thanks to you all. I guess if you have to have a replacement guitarist.. LA is THE place to have it happen.

In Tokyo today. First of two shows here in Japan. After that on to LA.

In Brisbane, Australia today. Last show on the Australian continent. We all love it here. I think it is mainly the people. They seem to have a very laid back attitude and are extremely friendly and courteous. They are also very loud at the shows. It will be a shame to leave here. I am sure we will be back.
On to Japan tomorrow and another looong flight. Better charge my DVD player.
The photo is Me, Randy,Richie, our tour manager Greg and the famous Doug Hall , Maiden's front of house engineer, in the festive yellow shirt at a BBQ put on by our promoter in Australia

We are in Sydney, Australia today. First of two shows in Sydney then on to Brisbane. I have about an hour before the show so, I have to make it quick. We are doing another show in Sydney tomorrow so I think that means I can actually sleep in the morning. Oh and I never did get Greg to do his routine for the V-Blog.

Well the first show of the Iron Maiden 'Somewhere Back In Time' show is finished. It was, of course, in Mumbai India. Mumbai [which the population still calls Bombay] is a much different place than Bangalore which where we played last time we played in India. Still it is a shock to see the poverty that grips the country. It is something that you have to experience firt hand to really understand.
Today we are in Perth, Australia. It was a 12 hour flight from Mumbai to Perth with a stop off in Jakarta to re-fuel. Traveling on the Maiden Plane has been really great. The flight crew is,shall we say, very tolerant.
The V-Blog above is from Mumbai. I couldn't hear what Richie was saying because the opening act had started. It makes me sound like I'm a little crazy. But, there will be plenty of time to make up for it. We have about 5 more continents to go. I hope to get some footage of something besides the drive to and from the venues. Keep your fingers crossed.
